Feeling under the weather today, Stayed home from work to rest and watch the dogs. I got my battery cables today in the mail. I'll be installing them starting tomorrow. The bulge area is gettting crowded. I can't wait until I'm running.
I'll be putting the engine boxs together and hopefully on the water this spring.

All I have left to do on all of the power systems is hook up the battery cables when they get here.
Sense my last post I finished the raw water connections, all the wiring for the helm to engines, ignitions wires and fuel system.
I'm hoping to fire both of them in the next week or so. That would be a great Christmas present!
I'll post the steam from the exhaust tips and give you all report.

I''ve got the exhaust all finished up. I think it will have a great sound and it is very sanitary. All the wiring is finished. I removed the bulkhead covering the fuel tank. I need to finish the fuel delivery system and start the engines.
I'm going going to the annual FabTech show in las Vegas on Sunday and will be looking at all the latest fabrication equipment for Mid Valley Metals.
I'm pumped up to listen to these guys run.

I've got both the Port and STBD exhaust collectors. I'm going to take them to the shop in the morning and have a qualified welder finish them up.

Saturday, October 27, 2012

Well here is the STBD exhaust collector. I will take it to the shop on Monday and have a welder with tallent finish tig weld the both of them. I will fit up the Port side tomorrow.

Check out the collectors. I'm going to tack the pipes together this weekend, tig weld them out and tumble them in ceramic media.

Check out the tube angle cutter I made to get all the angles just so. It has removable seats so I can change the pipe size as long as it is bent on a 6" r. It works well and took about 2 hours to cut all the angles.

I've been waiting for this day for quite some time. I had a crane in this morning. It took about 45 minutes to get them from the dollies to the mounts. A bit of adjustment to center onto the shafts and I'll lock them down.
I'm hoping to fire them off in the next couple weeks.

Please write me a comment if you have one.

So here is my bulge ventilation set up. The aft vent is flex from the fan to the bulge. The forward vent is ran through this plastic drain pipe. The stainless steel brackets secure the pipe and the flex fits into the elbows and is held in by the wire in the flex.

New brackets to hold the electrical conduit that I have ran my hydraulic steering lines through. The conduit will keep the hydraulics lines safe from being nicked that will lead to rupture.

It has been a long time again since I have posted again. I have been very busy with my business so the boat and almost everything else has suffered. I've made a little bit of head way and have posted some pictures of my progress.
I'm going to put the engines in, in a couple of weeks then finish the floors.
